“But I love Singaporean char kuey teow. The Penang version is drier and has more taugeh with the burnt taste. It’s nice, but not as nice as the Singaporean one.” Honestly? I just stared at him speechless.

“Oh, how I love the garlic and the lard and…” (I wasn’t really listening at this point, controlling my gag reflex).

P.S. If you’re the Singaporean I’m referring about but no offense. Except to your sense of taste. That’s horrible. Honestly, Singaporean char kuey teow over Penang char kuey teow? Since this is topsy turvy world, I guess Penang’s public transport is more efficient than Singapore. I must stop before my postscripts get longer than my original post.
