My anger with Starhub, and thus the entire nation of Singapore, reduce considerably with some broad named Alicia Wong (I believe) that served me earlier. So here’s what you do when faced with a pissed off customer: 1) listen, 2) repeat what have been said to show you listen, 3) don’t interrogate, 4) empathize.

Don’t do like my first idiot and subsequent SOBs on the phone–demand, defend, argue and interrogate. Walking out of Starhub Customer Service Centre, I left with nothing more than what was promised earlier,  just feeling slightly better.

Just assume each and every customer have been through shit, and then this–the cherry on top of that wonderfully shitty sundae. You won’t go wrong from there.
