Finally, I gotten through the telephone lines. You see, a month ago, my brother sent a package to me. A week later, curious why it is taking longer than it would if my brother put it in a bottle and float it down to Singapore from Port Klang. The tracker, apparently, said that a delivery attempt was made before Chinese New Year and the assignee was not in.

Which is pretty impossible, considering in the day time, there are at least two Cisco guards ready to accept packages. Even if by some fluke both were not in, how about dropping a nice notice in the mailbox?

No other delivery attempt was made after that, by the way, and it was nearly impossible to get through by the phone. Granted, I gotten through last week with the Malaysian number, but I didn’t have my tracking number. *-*” The last time I had a package sent to Singapore, it was with Pos Malaysia’s PosLaju, with the last mile by SpeedPost by SingPost. Arrived the next working day. Faster than I expected.

Quite ineffectual a police state, aren’t we? (Yesterday afternoon, I woke up to news about Singapore’s most wanted man. Since I snoozed the hated radio alarm clock and woke up some 2 hours later, I figured it was some weird dream).

Since the height of my political apathy coincides with the height of the Malaysian general elections campaign (just one more week till Malaysian news becomes readable! Wooh!) – when asked to blog about Nik Nazmi, I’m going to ignore politics altogether.

I mean, look at him! Other than Anwar’s daughter, who else more attractive is running for office? Yes, yes, we all know you want to bump him if he’s not married, but alas. The next best thing is to fulfill his craziest wet dream: vote for him, if you’re from Seri Setia!

My last one

So I was doing the costing for my party and a very unrealistic S$180 came out. Of course, the actual figure would likely be much, much higher, but I’ll stay sobbing in this room until I figured out what. The. Hell. Was. I. Thinking. That, and wondering why the hell is ice in Singapore so damn expensive? I miss the days of RM2.50 7-Eleven ice – why isn’t anyone challenging Tuck Ice’s S$4-something-for-a-pack monopoly?

March is going to be fun. (I originally guesstimated S$100 to be the nice, round number as the cost while sending out Facebook invites. It’s like a public works project!).

Underlying cause of my poverty found

I decided to keep my ATM card at home from now on out. As it can be used for purchases as well, what ends up is that my bank balance vanishes without me realizing.

Studying

30% of time queuing music and fiddling with the playlist on Winamp.

20% of the time checking school email and GMail.

30% of the time checking Facebook.

15% of the time correcting someone on the interweb that is wrong.

2% of the time making a witty wall post on Facebook.

2% of the time blogging.

1% of the time actually studying.

P.S. This new surround sound earphones I bought ages ago but lost in the heaps of clutter I hid in my suitcase is damn cool.
