On the way back to KL (I’m here, wee!), I took a bus to Jurong East, intending to take a train to Kranji, and then a bus to Larkin. Yeah, sounds horrible. So it was out of impulse I joined the queue for the Malaysian bus service CW-3. Five minutes later, the bus rolls by, and the drivers takes my S$3.50 — the most I ever paid to get into Malaysia.

But anyhow, if it saves me a train trip, what the heck: I’m splurging. On the bus, I thought it was rather strange the bus was on AYE heading towards Tuas… crap, its taking the Second Link. Soon, I was given the grand tour of West JB. And then North JB. And then I thought I heard the conductor shout “Masai”, and I was, “Shit, East JB?”

I was given an unwelcomed tour of Southern Johor. Though I entertained myself with a magazine, which is mistake #2. I got around to reading the Arena and now know why nobody buys it. I mean, if you want to learn how to be stylish, Arena is a great help. If you’re earning S$15,000 and travel to London regularly. But by then, who cares about looks? I mean, Don Trump looks like a turd, but he’s rich. Rich people can afford to look like turds.

Oh, and the 10pt font size on strikingly unreadable backgrounds push it out of the 30-above age range (you know, people who might earn S$15,000/month and go to London quite often). Gah, S$7.90.

So I finally put down the magazine when I was blinded by the world’s brightest traffic light (southern Johoreans may know where this is: Jln Temenggung 11) and then thrown into seizures by a neon display by a Megatari electronic store along Jln Tun Aminah… wherever the hell that was.

2 hours to JB — that was longer than that time I thought it was a bright idea to go to JB during Friday rush hour when the Singapore inter-causeway bus system seemed disintegrate. Arena — it was less interesting than that Spanish magazine my mom brought back from Madrid, and I can’t read Spanish.

Over the past few days, I have been using the Mac to do video editing; cementing my decision to have a Mac as my next computer purchase. Though the whole fanboy bit frightens me. Like this one, claiming Apple would overtake Microsoft definitely in five years.

Sure…. But why stop at that? If the Mac had 25% of the home laptop market, and considering offices are slowly being obsolete, and laptops replacing desktops, and that Apple is growing at 30%, soon everyone would be using a Macbook.

Soon.

Concerned about the proper Islamic view on apostasy? Get the facts right and worry no more!

For a faith that makes it compulsory to greet one another with such a beautiful prayer, it is ironic to see it’s adherents be castigated and accused wrongly of being rigid and unrelenting by those who would not want to learn anything about the very faith they are waging war against!

Oh my, sure thing.

I understand that for folks who have been fed negative news and the wrong input over the years and media manipulation by certain elements of the press and print industry…

Yeah, that must be it. Can’t be that Muslims are threatening to stone converts to death because their Hadith told them so.

The problem with the world is that people will always swallow hook, line and sinker whatever anyone writes bashing Islam and the Muslims.

You mean, when those bashing wrongly claim Islam demands those exercising their freedom of thought be executed?

Islam with it’s teetotaler puritanical tenets and principles…

Cause we wouldn’t want a non-puritanical, unprincipled religion executing people…

I do feel that we who are Muslims need to do our part to help clear the air about what Islam’s stand is on this sensitive but very important matter.

Because the non-Muslim’s world perception — that Islam demands that they should be stoned — is wrong?

We who are Muslims believe in Allah the Most High as our Lord and Creator and have faith in Him.

So if they never believed…?

As a Muslim, I subscribe to what is in the Qur’an and the authentic Hadiths.

So on that basis of logic, it would be alright if we Christians execute former Christians that convert to Islam?

I dare say not one criminal amongst the Muslims here in Malaysia has ever been punished according to the Hadiths of the Prophet Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam since this nation became ‘independent’ from the British Colonial rule!

For good measure too; imagine handless politicians.

We pay more attention and squabble over the definitions of man made laws drawn up by the British Lord Reid than we do to the Supreme Constitution of Allah the Almighty!

So we non-Muslims, making up some 40% of the country, is suppose to ignore the man-made British constitution because of some supreme constitution by some god in some religion we don’t give a toss about?

If Muslims in Malaysia really feel strongly about living in their God’s law, take the next flight out to Saudi Arabia.

As for you who aren’t Muslims, please do not get worked up over this matter for your dear new found sister is not in any danger of having even a hair of hers harmed by the Syariah system we have here. No worries. Everything’s okay. That’s as far as the justice system here goes by.

Lina Joy lost her family, her liberty, her security, her freedom–but thankfully, not her hair. But sure thing; but don’t mind us opposing the Syariah then.

More blog filler; normalcy resumes next week!

Girly man, man, man. But I would be rather sad if nippleye man ate my motorboat.

I wouldn’t even use it on a Mac.

Malaysia apparently has freedom of religion:

For all the hype about the so called religious intolerance in Malaysia and the usual bla bla bla as being plastered over the news in the ‘concerned Christian West’, we passed by a whole lot of imposing churches every few minutes on our short tour of the area.

Will go take some snaps of the various churches there in the daytime to show the world how very intolerant Malaysia is when it concerns all the other faiths here. As they say, sometimes just talking about things doesn’t really get results as much as a visual proof does.

In other news, Malaysia has freedom of press–just go to a news stand, can’t you see copies of The Star, NST, Utusan, Berita Harian, et al freely bought and sold? Will go take some snaps of the various news stands in daytime to show the world how great our respect for press freedoms is.

MENJ:

Well, I will be the first to admit that I am certainly no ustaadh, but whatever ilm I have, alhamdulillah I have disseminated that knowledge here and here. Even the liberals would have to admit that from that aspect alone, my record far supersedes theirs.

In a bid to keep Christians in the fold, I’m directing them here and here.

Interestingly enough, the quote MENJ used points to convincing people of Islam, not uhm, stoning them. But you know what they say, if you can’t convince them, stone them.

The message I got out was the senseless pursuit of ambition (ambition against our destiny and nature) for a few moments of joy.

Gah.
